Morristown NJ Photographer | Studio Pop Up Personality Minis Are Coming | March 14th
I’m so excited to share something new for A Lovely Shade of Jade Photography.
I’ve rented a small studio space for a one-day trial run - a little test drive of what could hopefully become my future studio space. The date is March 14, 2026 and after reaching out to families who expressed interest in my last email, I still have a handful of spots I’m opening up.
Because this is truly a “see how it goes” kind of day, I’m offering a steeply discounted version of my regular Pop Up Minis, the same BIG personality portraits you love, just in a studio setting instead of my garage.
If you’ve been thinking about updated photos of your kids, this is a really great chance to try them out.

These sessions feature the same simple, personality-filled portraits you’ve seen before:
• clean white backdrop
• natural expressions and big personality
• simple, timeless images
• a focus on documenting your littles exactly as they are right now

$300 session price
• 15 minute session
• final edited images included
• no upgrades needed
For reference, my current Pop Up Minis are $575 for 3 digitals or $700 for the full gallery (typically 25 images), with a $75 fee for an additional child. This day is truly a thank you + test-run special. If a studio becomes a reality, pricing will change.
Keeping the Day Simple & Smooth
To keep sessions running on time, these minis will be quick and streamlined:
• kids only
• or a quick headshot-style mini for yourself
• simple white background
• sessions run back-to-back
If I do move forward with a studio space long term, I’ll absolutely offer more session types. For March 14, I’m keeping things simple while I get a feel for the space.
Location Notes - Near Morristown, NJ
Since this is a one-day rental, here are a few quick details to know:
• studio is on the second floor (stairs only)
• space will not be furnished with seating
• sessions will move quickly and others may be present
• puppy sessions won’t be possible this day (but stay tuned 🐾)
If this becomes a permanent studio, I will absolutely transform it into a warm, comfortable space.

FAQ
How Many Kids at one time?
Pop Up minis were designed to document 1 child at a time in order to capture their unique personality - as they are at this moment in time. Quick sessions just for them to show off something new…a new haircut, glasses, the new crooked smile they have been flashing. With that said, if you have 2-3 kids and want to get photos of each of them alone I can do that on this date - we will try our best to end with a group photo of them as well. We will have to adjust the time with each kid a bit to fit them all in. More than three? You will need to book an additional slot since these will be running back to back. Also, if you feel your children will need more time than 15 minutes, I suggest booking two slots.
What about sibling photos?
If time allows I will try my best to get all the siblings together at the end of your session. However, I can't always guarantee full group cooperation but I promise to give it my best!
Do you offer prints or wall art?
Yes! I offer a wide range of beautiful matte prints and custom wall art that can be ordered directly from your private gallery once it is delivered/
What to Wear?
For this date, the photos will be on the white back drop, so I suggest neutral tones or soft colors without large graphics. With that said, I am ALWAYS all for a fun pop of color or pattern, especially if your child has an absolutely favorite. Just please avoid the large logos because it takes away from your child. After booking your session I will send you a guide with what to wear tips and if you want I can create a mood board specific for you.
What should I bring?
Wipes and chapstick are great for young ones - bonus is a special lovey, etc.
When to arrive?
Please arrive about 5 minutes early (especially if they are on the shy side) before your scheduled start time so your child(ren) can get a feel for what we'll be doing. Just please stand off to the corner if I am with another client. Make sure faces are wiped just before the shoot begins.
Do you offer private studio sessions?
Currently, no. But I am hoping that this little studio becomes mine. I am trying to work things through so it won’t be happening yet. I do offer regular private outdoor sessions. Please check my page for all my offerings.
