Who says you have to go to a beautiful garden or a golden hour sunset at the beach to have amazing family photos? As a matter of fact a lot of families are so much more comfortable being somewhere familiar to them. There is nothing more familiar than your own property! The love and connection still shines through no matter where we take your family photos.

What better way to celebrate turning one than closing on a new home the day of your cake smash!

When I walk into someone’s home I have never met before I am always a nervous wreck. I do my best not to show it but believe me I am. Being really shy (or introverted) my whole life I have always had a hard time making small talk and for the most part feel awkward around new people I meet.

Spooky season is coming to an end. I wasn’t ready for it and now it’s almost over.

We had a lot of fun this year with Jade and Halloween pics. From Creepy little girl…to the Funky Ghost to Rain-bownes…get it? lol (which is her actual Halloween costume) she really got into the Halloween spirit.

This was a really fun project and something so different from what I normally photograph. Sometimes getting out of your comfort zone is good for the soul. Especially when you get to take pictures of two of the most adorable kids rooms. How amazing has this mama styled her two little girls rooms??

When we first moved to this neighborhood there weren’t too many kids. Once we had Jade we noticed there were a few others, but really not that many.

Meet the very fun and very sweet Dinneen Family. They celebrated this special Grandma’s birthday by gifting her a family session surrounded by all of her grandkids, kids and lots and lots of love. What more could a Grandma ask for on her special day :)

This little stud muffin stopped by the garage studio for some updated summer portraits. We went with a lemon summer session. This was his first time tasting lemon and we thought he would hate it but nope….by the looks of it he was having a blast!

If you are wondering why In-Home Newborn sessions are my favorite, this session right here is why. Look at how comfortable this family looks behind the lens. Everyone automatically feels more at ease in their own home which make for the sweetest, most natural photos.

These sessions are serious fun! I don’t care how nervous or shy a child is….throw some confetti at them and they can’t help but smile. They might be confused at first as to why someone is dumping confetti over them but

I think this above image is one of my fave pics of all time. I mean that face! Some might say I am cruel being it’s a crying baby pic, but this truly shows how unpredictable children this age are. It happens so often. You don’t know how they will react during a cake smash until you are actually in it.

We love going on walks. Everyday we take some sort of walk whether that be a quick walk around our neighborhood or a longer walk at one of the amazing parks around us. My daughter won’t leave the house without one of her stuffed animals. She pretty much always has one snuggled by her side, but inevitably I end up having to carry them when we are out on our adventures. She either gets tired of holding it or she wants to throw rocks in the pond or she wants to walk our pup, Ollie, and doesn’t want to drop her furry stuffed friend along the way.
