So you are in love, but also tired….over the moon with joy, but also completely overwhelmed. You booked your in-home newborn photos months ago before this tiny, precious being made his or her way into your home. You had all of these plans of what you would wear in these photos…but then baby came and life got real crazy real fast and plans of that beautifully curated wardrobe went out the door. You are in a panic! You think “what will I put this tiny, fragile little being in”…let alone even think of yourself! “Help! What Do I Wear??”.

I know I say this every year….I am going to blog EVERY SINGLE SESSION! And then life comes rolling in and I don’t get around to blogging EVERY SINGLE SESSION. I always want to, I say I am going to, I get excited about blogging as the start of the new year comes around and then I just don’t finish! So this year instead of saying I am blogging every session, what I am going to say instead is “I will TRY my best to blog more”.

es 2020 sucked real bad (2021 you aren’t much better to be honest!), but there were definitely two positives as far as our family is concerned.

Now that 2020 is coming to an end (thank goodness!), I realized I better get moving on sharing the rest of the sessions I had this year. Like this adorable 1st birthday session!

If this session doesn’t scream Fall I don’t know what does. The beautiful warm leaves and the early morning light, together with their pretty color palette and you can almost feel the Fall leaves falling :)

Right now I am sitting here editing about 10 Fall sessions from this past month…T-E-N! And I still have about 11 more sessions coming up! This is by far my busiest season yet. It’s funny because I never would have guessed that a pandemic would bring on more clients.

Downtown sessions are one of my favorites. I love the laid back vibe of them. I especially love finding really cool old doors to use as a backdrop. How cool are these church doors?

These two are due to be welcoming their first bundle of love…my nephew…on November 29th. This is my sister, her hubby and their cute pup. As I am typing this I am realizing I never posted our new fur baby on here.

These two cuties were so much fun! You could just feel their love pouring through. They have the most infectious smiles don’t they?!

In the past year I have had 2 different clients message me after our sessions together that their dads had recently passed away and that they were going to be using a photo of them that I had taken in their memorial service. They also went on to say that these pictures mean the world to them especially now.

Extended family sessions are a special gift to that special family member. Whether it be Christmas, a birthday or Mothers/Fathers day, giving a person this rather than another candle or set of wine glasses is something they will cherish for years.
